Reportage

Kembé Rèd, Guadeloupe in Covid time

The photographs presented here were taken as part of the reportage carried out with the journalist Simon Auffret for the newspaper Le Monde IN 2020. From the cemetery of Pointe-à Pitre to the beach of Saint’Anne, from Capesterre-Belle-Eau to the Marina movida district, they take a look at half-masked faces, sometimes unmasked. They freeze, like snippets, moments of life in Guadeloupe at the time of the health crisis, a crisis that is superimposed and intertwined with a now chronic economic, ecological and social depression.
